Solid is back on Saturday 13th for a special “Summer Of Love” ! ! ! Celebrating the classic house music vibes from yesteryear and today, along with the good people who make it happen, our mid summer Solid special is pleased to welcome special guest from London, UK –
the up and coming Deejay Mista Nugget ! ! !
Starting his career as one of the leading underground MCs in the UK drum and bass and two step/garage scenes, Nugget toured with top artists Goldie, High Contrast, Robbie Craig, Noel Mckoy, and Miss Dynamite. With his verbal flair, Nugget became known for his ability to hype up stadium crowds with his tireless energy …
However, his true passion was ignited when he turned his hand to DJing in the early 2000`s immersing himself in the nascent London soulful house and broken beat scenes. Building a name for himself as a DJ versatile enough to cross over between hiphop, deep house, garage, broken beat, and rare groove all within one set, Nugget soon established residencies through out London, including his own deep house night Hot Yoga.
As a producer, Nugget has done original and remix work for various artists and labels, with critical acclaim from labels such as Defected and MN2S, as well as DJ support from Phil Asher, Tony Humphries. Louie Vega, Nick Holder and more …
Making his Japan debut at Solid, Nugget is set to showcase the deeper shades of house, with records by the likes of Osunlade, Black Coffee, Lovebirds, Peven Everett, and Franck Roger filling his box. Throw in a little Tribe Called Quest, Foreign Exchange, and Slum Village, and you`ve got the “Hot Yoga” sound served right up courtesy of one of the most talented up-and-coming DJs from the UK – Deejay Mista Nugget ! ! !
Throw in the Solid resident DJs – Nebu Soku aka Kai and Megumi, Marshall, as well as smorgasbord of underground house music talent in the second room, and Saturday August.13th promises to an unforgettable night ! Thus, celebrating what we call “the summer of love,” a return to the roots of Solid and what good house music is all about – dope music, fun people, and good times !
