Open @ Santos
Dubbed “Best DJ Night” at Paper Magazine’s 4th Annual Nightlife Awards, OPEN has earned the reputation for being the most important Friday night in the Five Boroughs for the masses to get down. From movie stars to breakdancers to workplace warriors of every collar, the crowd is a beautiful representation of New York City’s soul, and the music is engineered accordingly. TIP (A Tribe Called Quest), RICH MEDINA and DJ GRAVY, who has taken over the downstairs level, are known for their selection of the choicest hip-hop cuts mixed with the forgotten classics of soul, reggae, funk disco and jazz. Hosted by Va$htie, the party features special guest DJ’s and performers every week.

Creator of the world’s largest party, the LOVEPARADEDr. Motte is the creator of Love Parade, a very popular rave based event in Berlin, Germany every summer, supporting love for everyone and everything expressed by this dance culture.
He’s a guru in the techno world.Alex Bau (Munich / Germany
There are not many DJ`s of this type. DJ`s who believed in Techno from the first minute, DJ`s who experienced Techno from the very beginning, DJ`s who made techno their own thing. DJ`s who found their own style, even more, who developped it over the years, Dj`s who`s name is the expression for a specific sound. Alex Bau is one ofthem. But at the same time, there are some slight differences with this guy. Why focussing on just one style of music? Why only minimal sounds? Why only Techno? Why? If you can have both…

Kabuto & Koji and Bill Patrick @ Stay
On Thursday October 29th, join us for the ghoulishly special Halloween edition of ampd! in the haunted dungeon at Stay!!
We’re going to be raising the dead two days prior to All Hallow’s Eve with super creepy decor and ghastly international talent. Costumes are highly encouraged!
First on the line-up we have Supernatural artists Kabuto & Koji. K&K have been on a worldly tear lately, having recently burst on Cocoon records and having just opened up for DEPECHE MODE. Those of you who caught their last NYC performance got to hear what these guys are all about, and if you didn’t, you definitely want to check them out this time.
We also have the honor of hosting Bill Patrick, who just destroyed Love for BLK|Market. This will be Billy’s last set before he morphs into a bat and flies back to Transylvania. So come bid him farewell and perhaps sacrifice some of your fresh blood to provide him with some much needed energy for his upcoming trip. He will be performing a peak time set… it’s bound to be evil!
along with ampd! resident DJs.. Leks the Imposter and DJ MSG
Hosted by Elisa
Produced by PJay, the NYEX crew & ampd! -
