Vinyl Mania’s founder Charlie Grappone has been that staple in New York City Dance Music Culture, with over 30 years in the business we welcome the man who influenced so many records to so many Famous DJ’s worldwide! Names like Larry Levan, Danny Krivit, DJ Spinna (to name a few) would buy records from Charlie’s store regularly. Especially since the store was located around the block from the legendary Paradise Garage, it became THE mecca for DJs to find THAT record Larry played the night before; since Vinylmania carried exclusive test presses!! It was also the workplace and home of DJ’s Alix Alvarez, Pal Joey, Adam Scott and many other real music people.
We are set to pay homage to a TRUE New York City Legend; the record store and the person who created it!
