Doc Delay is a reluctant DJ.  Collecting records for production and his own listening pleasure ultimately evolved into an offer to co-host a hip-hop show on WDCE FM in Richmond, Virginia. Starting in 1996, he held this Friday rush-hour spot for over four years, gaining the respect of indy and major label artists around the country. His radio personality also provided the opportunity to have dozens of guest artists on the show when they passed through town.

Since relocating to New York City in 2002, production once again has been the Doctor’s main focus, but this hasn’t stopped him from playing to rowdy crowds all over Manhattan, Brooklyn and touring the rest ofthe US, Canada, and Europe. If you were fortunate enough to attend any of Doc’s resident DJ nights in NYC, there’s a good chance you might have heard him moving the masses playing everything from Soul ballads to House classics.

Delay may no longer be a reluctant DJ, but he still has the humble outlook that DJing is much like that of any fan of music. He remains open to what he likes or plays, and prefers to see DJing as an opportunity to share music with others. It’s not a performance – after all, it’s all other just other people’s music, redefined.

His versatile approach to reading diverse crowds and rocking dance floors has seen him grace turntables from the City’s highest profile clubs (Tenjune / Cain / Lotus) to downtown’s most exclusive spots (105 Riv / Gold Bar / The Box).

His seamless blend of funk soul hip hop reggae house and choice contemporary “bangers” also caught the ear of the entertainment industry as his services have been requested by Maxwell, Jill Scott and George Clooney; his weekly “Good Spot” residency – alongside Stimulus every Monday at 105 Riv – has been heralded as New York’s best party by nightlife industry types; his critically acclaimed “Satisfy My Soul” mixtape series has been described as the perfect mixtape collection by his DJ peers and casual listeners alike. mOma is also collaborating with The Rub’s heavyweight DJ Eleven on the Special Delivery project which consists of a monthly mixtape release accompanied by a monthly session at NYC’s premier musical mecca, APT.

Ali hails from the north west of England where he began djing 14 years ago playing detroit techno and chicago house to a scouse crowd monthly at the legendary ‘le bateau’ club in Liverpool. Soon after this he began experimenting with making machine music which resulted in the upstart of Human Shield records together with cohorts Peter Mangalore and Tommy Walker 3. He is one half of synth-pop sensations Heartbreak who released their debut album ‘Lies’ last year on Lex Records. He now co-runs labels Human Shield and Cyber Dance and is involved with Magic Waves Radio, Cyber Dance’s broadcasting project which is now hosted on Dutch Internet radio station Intergalactic FM. Releasing solo records since 2003, including four very fine 12″s for London’s now defunct Dissident label, his live set is a combination of tracks from previous releases on labels Dissident, Cyber Dance and Moustache records and his dj sets vary from Italo disco, techno and electro depending on the nights theme. A talented producer and dj openly in thrall of the 80′s heyday of synth-pop and italo disco 2010 will be a defining year for ali seeing more releases and collaborations including his debut album.

Jetlag is a New York based DJ and audio production outfit founded by friends Olé Koretsky and Andy Rourke. The pair began writing and recording as Jetlag when Rourke, a Mancunian, relocated to New York City in early 2009. The Smiths’ bassist and the Soviet born New Yorker have been experimenting with production techniques and are sitting on a treasure trove of unreleased material. When not in the studio, Rourke and Koretsky are honing their DJ skills at night clubs and on the radio.
