If you’re wondering why many of the Minitek sets have been removed, here’s the answer:

Originally we signed on to broadcast the festival live on dailysession.com but, like many production related issues at Minitek, our broadcast requirements were not addressed in time. When we arrived in Coney Island to discover this we resorted to plan B with Minitek’s permission: “record the festival.” Apparently, none of the DJ’s were told that we would be recording or broadcasting so, naturally, not all of them were happy about us posting their sets and requested that they be removed. We’re sorry that we can’t share all the sets with you but we have to respect the artists’ wishes. The music is the one thing that Minitek got right so we’re doing what we can to get the missing audio approved. Stay tuned…

Update: François K just approved his set. It’s amazing. Go listen to it! Thanks FK!
We’ve submitted requests to the other artists and are awaiting approval. Fingers crossed…

Hello and nice gradings from berlin.
I have a question about the minitekfestival. Is it every year or just one time. What is the entree for this party, and is it every year in new york….please answer on my mail feierabend82@gmx.de……..thanks………paT

That is why Francois K is the man, only set we need, keep the minimal poser thing away please.

Hmm, let me get this clear – several DJs have a problem with their sets being posted? No irony here? Becasue it’s not as if everything heard in a DJ set is original and created by them and not another artist, is it?

All the sets are for download on http://www.livesets.com
